I suppose it's possible that one of them killed the other, and then was killed by somebody else in turn. But I'd rather assume the worst first and spare myself the disappointment later.

If it's three, how many of us will be left before this is done? It won't only be trial, we'll have to stop the other two. [biting her lip.] Yves - he took an apple that can cure disease, from Firefly. And he thought it might be able to cure someone afflicted, provided we can find it. But if there is more than one person afflicted, that decision gets even harder.

That could be an issue. If he thought it could cure someone afflicted, I wonder if he made any attempts to use it on the person who attacked him.
