If Mary is allying with an entity that tempts sin, then... would it not make sense that she may have 'gotten rid' of her by sending her to a place where she already had a quite strong ally?
I mean... our Hell experience also involved all of us thinking Saber and Daigo were named Kung Fury and Triceracops, I hit Satan with a train, and I killed a guy shooting a machine gun into a phone? So, like...
Mm - Satan is the lord of the Hells, where the demons are... it does make sense! If nothing else, we could try to source where the entity may originate - and if it is not the Hells, then we can at least eliminate that connection as a possibility.
